Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making the NSW Pacific Centre website accessible to all members of our community, including people with disabilities.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Our Commitment
NSW Pacific Centre is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We believe that accessibility is essential to serving our Pacific and CALD communities equitably and with dignity. We aim to meet or exceed the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What We Do
To support accessibility, we have implemented the following measures:
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy.
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Keyboard-navigable content and logical focus order.
- Resizable text that remains readable at larger sizes.
- Clear and consistent navigation across all pages.
- Forms with associated labels and instructions.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the website may not yet meet all standards. For example, some third-party content (such as embedded videos or social media feeds) may not be fully accessible, and some older documents may not be tagged for screen readers. We are working to address these limitations and welcome your feedback to help us prioritise improvements.
Assistance and Alternative Formats
If you have difficulty accessing any information on our website, or if you require information in an alternative format — such as large print, plain language, or translated into Samoan or another language — please contact us. We are happy to provide information in a format that meets your needs.

Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have a suggestion for improvement, please let us know. Your feedback helps us serve our community better and is an important part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We regularly review our website and work to improve compliance with accessibility standards. This statement will be updated as we make progress and as standards evolve.
